We are a service company that has been in business since 2000 and we are located in the DFW area. We test, repair and install backflow preventers as required by State and City Codes. Our core values are honesty and integrity. We will do our best to take care of our customers' needs.

A backflow preventer is a device that provides water from flowing backwards using combinations of check valves and sometimes a relief valve.

To prevent contamination of drinking water as per state and city code.

Depending on the size and location of the backflow preventer it could take anywhere from 5-30 minutes.

Typically, a residential domestic is located at a water softener or filtration system. For commercial, a may be located on the main water, drink machine, filter, or ice machine per city codes.
Usually by the water meter.
For a residential, a fire line typically would be in a panel in the garage.
Depending on the city code, most cities require testing once a year.
Only if the backflow is located inside of the home, if the device is an irrigation backflow it is usually located outside.
If required by the city, ABP is licensed to install any irrigation, domestic or fire line. Pricing depends on what the cities require.
Most cities will send a warning with a testing deadline. In some cases, they can turn off the water and / or fine the customer.
Yes, we (ABP) can take care of any repairs, installs, and testing.
No, a person must be a licensed backflow tester to do repairs. Unlicensed people will usually replace the device at a higher cost than a repair.
We (ABP) take care of filing forms with the cities and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).
